Woman, two minor daughters found dead under mysterious circumstances in Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda: In a tragic incident Wednesday morning, a woman and her two minor daughters were found dead under mysterious circumstances inside a house at Phatak Pada of Ganganagar under Brajrajnagar police limits in Jharsuguda.

According to a police source, the deceased woman was identified as 28-year-old Soni Poddar, her 5-year-old daughter as Muskan and 3-year-old daughter as Radhika. The woman was residing in the house along with her daughters and husband named Narayan Poddar.

Some neighbours found the bodies in the morning and immediately informed Brajrajnagar police about the incident. The tragic incident became mysterious as the husband Narayan went missing.

On being informed by locals, Brajrajnagar police reached the house in Phatak Pada and recovered the three bodies.

Police have registered a case in this connection and a probe is underway.

Efforts are made to trace Narayan. Whether it is a case of murder or suicide has not been ascertained yet, an official said.
