Mayurbhanj: Police Tuesday recovered the decomposed body of a woman from a forest nearby Matiali village under Jamada police limits in Mayurbhanj district.
The identity of the woman is yet to be ascertained.
According to reports, the body was found with several injury marks on hands and legs. The body was seized by police and sent to a hospital for post-mortem.
As per preliminary investigation, it is suspected that the woman might have been murdered, a police official said.
A probe into the matter and the actual cause of death will be revealed after the post-mortem report arrives, the police further said.
