Chandbali: A boy died after being allegedly administered wrong injections at Boida Pokhari village of Jaleswarpur panchayat near Banshada in Bhadrak district Sunday afternoon.
The family members and villagers blocked the Bhadrak-Chandbali road at Mato bazaar, demanding action and compensation.
The family members filed a complaint at Mato police station, accusing the pharmacist of negligence.
According to the complaint, Kuna (11), son of Suresh Mahalik, who had fever was taken to a pharmacist, who runs a private clinic.
Kuna’s blood was tested and after seeing the report, the pharmacist administered two injections.
But when Kuna started vomiting, the pharmacist asked his relatives to take the boy to Chandbali community health centre, where the doctors declared him ‘brought dead’.
