Bhubaneswar, March 25: Yazdani Club-73 (YC-73) entered the final of the Bhagyadhar Trophy football tournament after beating East Coast Railway (ECoR) 5-3 via penalty shoot-out in a semifinal match at the Indira Ground here, Friday.
The match ended goalless in the regulation time. In the ensuing penalty shoot-out, YC-73 converted all of their chances, while ECoR could strike only thrice.
Boudh in quarters
Boudh entered the quarterfinals of the Kalahandi Cup cricket tournament by virtue of taking the first innings lead against Dhenkanal in the Group-C qualifier game at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, Friday. Boudh will meet Cuttack-A at the Bidanasi Ground, March 26-28.
Opting to field, Boudh restricted Dhenkanal for 139 with Manoj Kumar Nayak (6/22) emerging as the wrecker-in-chief. In reply, Boudh scored 161 to take a vital 22-run first innings lead despite the efforts of Dhenkanal leggie Bikash Kumar Rout (7/83).
In the second essay, Sunil Kumar Sahoo (136) led Dhenkanal to a well-composed 239/4 before the declaration. Boudh finished at 191 for seven when umpires called off play.

Spinners Manoj Kumar Nayak (Boudh) and Bikash Kumar Rout (Dhenkanal) showcased brilliant spin bowling to hog the limelight in the league games of the Kalahandi Cup cricket tournament.
Manoj impressed with 57 wickets from seven games. His efforts include four five-wicket hauls and a perfect-10 against Kalahandi. Bikash also drew attention of the selectors and fans with 53 wickets from six matches, including six five-wicket hauls.
