Bhubaneswar: A youth was found dead inside his house at Buddha Nagar near Laxmi Sagar here Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Baijayant Mohanty.
Mohanty, a resident of Sankarpur area in Cuttack was on a visit to Buddha Nagar in some work on the day of the incident when the mishap took place. Some neighbours spotted the body of Mohanty lying on the floor in the morning.
After being alerted, Laxmi Sagar Police reached the spot and seized the body for post-mortem.
Local people suspected it to be a case of murder.
“While injury marks were found on the neck, it would be premature to jump into conclusion on the cause of the death. We are waiting for the post-mortem report,” a police official said.
Police have detained two persons including a woman in connection with the case.
