Jatani: Five youths ganged up against another of Panchagaon and attacked him with sharp weapons, causing serious wounds on his left palm and back at market area here under the Airfield police limits in Khurda district, Sunday.
The injured, identified as Muktiraj Guru, was rescued by his family members and rushed him first to Capital hospital in Bhubaneswar. Later he was shifted to a private nursing home as his condition deteriorated.
Gagan Bihari Guru, Muktiraj’s father, has lodged a complaint with Airfield police station, accusing Patitapaban, Liku, Nanu, Prema Routray and Budia Routray of Panchagaon locality of attacking and causing injuries to his son.
According to his complaint, Muktikanta had gone to Panchagaon market to buy some provisions. It was when he was standing at a shop the five youths arrived with sharp weapons and attacked him.
