Udala: Irate residents beat up a youth black and blue and later detained him for allegedly clicking the photographs of a woman without her permission at Udala area in Mayurbhanj district, Saturday.
The incident occurred when the youth was found taking multiple photographs of a woman on his cell phone despite her objections. The woman informed the villagers following which the villagers and passersby intercepted him and thrashed him. They also detained him.
The angry villagers also forced the youth to delete the pictures from his mobile phone. Later, they handed him over to Udala police.
A villager alleged that the youth was found taking the photographs of the woman at a public place without her permission. This is indicative of his bad intention and stringent action should be taken against the accused, the villagers said
Recently, a youth was detained while he was trying to click the photographs and videos of a girl when she was changing clothes in the trial room of a shopping mall in Keonjhar.
The incident occurred when the girl had gone to the mall in the town to buy clothes. The girl realized she was being filmed and raised an alarm following which security personnel of the mall rushed to her help and caught the youth red-handed. He was later handed over to Town police.
