Baripada: Tension ran high in Mankadgenda village near Chandua in Mayurbhanj district Tuesday after an unidentified gang killed a youth by slitting his throat. The deceased was Sanu Singh, son of Mangulu Singh, of the same village.
A complaint filed by the family at the Chandua police station said the youth left home along with some others in the evening and didn’t return till late at night. His body was spotted lying in a farmland near his house Wednesday morning.
Grievous cuts, possibly from a sharp weapon, were seen on the neck of the deceased. Chandua police sent the body for autopsy.
