Planetarium closed

Bhubaneswar: The Pathani Samanta Planetarium here has been closed for four days due to a technical snag. All the shows at the planetarium have been suspended for the time being. The problem occurred Friday after the first show. Despite efforts, the authorities could not restore the functioning of the machines. According to sources, it might take another week to reinstall the software. Till then, the planetarium will remain closed. Planetarium deputy director Subhendu Pattnaik said since there is no one to look after the newly inaugurated APJ Abdul Kalam Planetarium at Burla, inaugurated by the Chief Minister September 22, he has been looking after the planetarium there for a while.
