Keonjhar: A person died and two others were critically wounded after a house collapsed in Keonjhar Thursday after incessant rains. The incident was reported at Mishral under Harichandanpur block.
The injured were admitted to the district headquarter s hospital.
Reports said— Makara Munda, his wife Sombari Munda and his son-in-law Sama Munda were asleep in their house Wednesday night. Thursday, their thatched house was found to be completely razed to the ground. Walls had collapsed on the three. Makara’s son was in another house. Thursday morning, he noticed the mishap and raised an alarm.
The three were rescued in critical condition. They were shifted to the district headquarters hospital in an ambulance. However, Makara succumbed on the way.
It may be mentioned here that Makara had recently got a work order for a Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana project following repeated complaints.
Pandapada police seized the body and was conducting post-mortem.
