Cuttack: One person was killed and three others injured in separate road accidents in Cuttack district.
In the first incident, the driver of a Mahindra Bolero was killed after he lost control over the wheels and rammed the vehicle into a roadside tree.
He was returning after a marriage party Monday from Gamilo village near Kanpur.
The driver Hadibandhu Sahu, who sustained critical injury in the accident, was first rushed to Kanpur CHC and later shifted to SCB Medical College where he succumbed to his injuries.
In another incident Tuesday morning, a bus carrying passengers from Balipahada to Cuttack skidded off the road and hit a roadside tree at Ranasankha village near Banki.
At least three passengers including a woman and a child were injured in the accident and they have been admitted to Banki Sub Divisional Hospital.
The condition of the injured was stated to be stable.
