Keonjhar: A man was killed while three others sustained serious injuries in a road accident near Saraswatipara Chhak on NH-220 near Patna in Keonjhar district Sunday night.
While the deceased was identified as Rabi Narayan Nanda (45), an art teacher of Tentulipadi village under Hatadihi block, the injured persons are Prasant Bhanja of the same village, Arjun Mahanta of Mangalpur village and Harihar Mahanta of Dhianali village.
According to sources, Rabi and Prasant who were travelling on a bike to Karanjia collided with a scooter coming from the opposite direction. While Rabi who was riding the motorcycle died on the spot, the injured Prasant and two others were admitted to a nearby hospital.
The police have seized the vehicles and started an investigation.
