BHUBANERSWAR: The Dhauli College of Art and Craft organized a three-day photography work- shop on its campus in which 12 photographers had participated. In the workshop, conducted by Sumanta Lenka, the participants had clicked the landscape around the Dhauli Shanti Stupa. Sumanta Lenka, who recently participated in the Culture Department-spon-sored tour of several unknown waterfalls in the state for docu- mentation purpose, said that Nature has a lot to offer in different ways which mostly remained unexplored.
Photography has the power to capture such things for- ever. How to merge the different as- pects of Nature in an image is an inborn talent of a photographer. However, it can be mastered by constant practice, he said.
The participants had learnt thetricks and intricacies of clicking a good picture, using the right angle, light, etc. Chinmayee Rath, one of the participants, said he loves the Nature photography most because a photographer’s real tal- ent and art comes out. Ambika Panda, another par- ticipating photographer, said, “I am fond of fashion photography and at the workshop the trainer hasgiven us practical training by making us click photos of models in the backdrop of Dhauli’s beautiful natural view.” The workshop was organised by the Applied Art Department of the Dhauli College.
