Komna: In an attempt to cover more beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY), a total of 120 work orders were distributed to beneficiaries Tuesday in different gram panchayats of Komna block in Nuapada district.
Similarly, 30 beneficiaries of Jhangrahi panchayat were given free gas connections under Ujjwala scheme.
A special programme was held at the Jhangrahi panchayat office under the supervision of Block Development Officer (BDO) Shyamal Roy. Kalahandi MP Basant Panda attended the event as the chief guest.
Under the PMAY mission, the government aims to ensure ‘housing for all’. Landless beneficiaries are accorded the highest priority, said Panda. Emphasis was also laid on finishing the work within deadline.
Concerned state government administrations are responsible to provide land to the landless under PMAY scheme.
