Keonjhar: A fourteen-year-old girl was abducted by four youths and one of them raped her, after they pounced on her while she was returning home from a weekly market at Bhadrasahi in this district. The incident occurred two days ago, June 17.
Acting on the girl’s complaint, police arrested the four including the main accused Sibu Munda and launched a probe.
As per the complaint, the girl along with some friends from her village went to the weekly market in Barbil area. Later, they boarded a bus. After getting down from the bus, she was walking towards her house when the four youths surfaced from nowhere and kidnapped her. They gagged her and took her to a house in an isolated area. One of the youths raped her while the three others stood guard.
“Only one of them raped me,” the victim stated in her complaint. A probe was under way, cops said.
