Paradip: At least two chain snatchers were arrested by Paradip Police Tuesday and seized a number of loot items from their custody.
The duo has been identified as Sanatan Nayak (Sana) and Biswanath Nayak (Raja). However, another associate identified as Mithun Barik gave cops a slip.
Police also seized two gold necklaces and a bike from their possession. A number of cases were against them including vehicle thefts on the highways as well as chain snatching under different police stations in Jagatsinghpur district, police said.
They were active in the port city for the last couple of months after being released from jail.
Police were on the hunt for Sana and Raja after the duo snatched away the necklace of a woman at IFFCO square in Tirtol area during the Raja festival.
