Bhawanipatna: Two persons died and two others sustained critical injuries after a mini truck hit a bicycle near Jaypatna in Kalahandi district Thursday.
The bicycle rider and a minor boy were killed on the spot.
According to reports, the speeding mini truck was travelling towards Jaypatna in the wee hours Thursday when it hit a bicycle near Baner village following which the bicycle rider died on the spot. However, in a bid to avoid the mishap, the driver lost control over the wheels and the truck overturned.
While a minor boy who was inside the truck, died on spot, the driver and his associate are gravely injured in the incident.
The injured persons were admitted to a hospital at Jaypatna in a critical condition.
