Keonjhar: In a heart-trending incident, two infants were burnt to death after a massive fire broke out in their house Friday morning. Family members tried to rescue them, but in vain.
The deceased were identified as Rahul and Sanu. They were cousin brothers.
The two children were charred to death right in front of their family members. The bone-chilling has been reported from Mundasahi village under Nayakot police limits in Keonjhar district.
Sources said, the incident occurred while the two kids were playing in a pigsty at the village. Over some unknown reason, a major fire broke out and later engulfed the enclosure. The kids died on the spot in the fire mishap.
Tension gripped the village while the exact cause behind the fire mishap is yet to be ascertained.
Sources said at the time of mishap the family members were away to farmland for work.
