Bhubaneswar: St Xavier’s International School and Kalinga Charitable Trust feted 25 students at the Loknath Memorial Award 2018 for their achievements in board examinations at a function here, Friday.
Shruti Darshana of Std XII received first prize in her class for scoring 92% marks, while Amitya Vikram was awarded for securing h 93% in Std X exams.
Interacting with Orissa POST, Darshana said, “I have never expected such a high score. All credit for my performance goes to my teachers who have extended their whole-hearted support in guiding me and classmates”. Vikram also expressed his happiness over being feted by the school at the award ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Priyadarshi Mishra (MLA) called for better educational environment and a healthy gurkul-style teaching to ensure a bright future for the students.
