Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police arrested three drug peddlers from Bomikhal area under Laxmisagar police station here, Friday.
The accused were identified as Sanjay Kumar Bhoi alias Minza, Chakradhar Behera alias Jatia and Sk Iqbal. Minza and Behera have been residing in Bomokhal area while Iqbal is a resident of Balasore.
Acting on a tip-off, Laxmisagar police conducted a raid at Canal road in Bomikhal area and arrested the drug peddlers, who were waiting for their customers. Police seized 45 grams of brown sugar along with Rs 37,180, one scooter and three mobile phones from their possession.
Police later registered a case (255/19) under Section 21(b) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotrophic Substances (NDPS) Act. They were sent to the judicial custody after rejection of their bail applications by the court.
