Bhubaneswar, May 9: More than 44,000 candidates are set to take the Orissa Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) — 2015 across the state Sunday.
The entrance examination will be conducted in three sittings at 78 centres set up across 19 cities in the state. The first sitting would be from 9 am to 11 am, the second from noon to 1 pm and the third from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm.
The authorities said 17 examination centres have been set up in the capital city, which is the highest in the state.
“We have come up with adequate security for the smooth conduct of the examination. We have deputed two centre supervisors and one superintendent at each examination centre. They will be aided by local police in case of an emergency,” said OJEE secretary Priyabrata Sahu.
Students wish to pursue MCA, MBA, M. Tech, M. Tech (part-time) and B. Pharm or those seeking lateral entry to engineering and pharmacy will appear for the entrance test Sunday. Nearly, 17,000 students applied for lateral entry to engineering, while 9,000 applied for MBA courses, according to OJEE.
The online application process for OJEE 2015, which began January 15, saw 44,471 candidates opting for the various courses. The OJEE 2015 results are scheduled to be published by the first week of June.
