Bhubaneswar: A total of 46,570 applicants have been selected in the Phase-I second selection for Higher Secondary admissions for the 2026– 27 academic year, out of 87,549 applicants considered during the process.
Of the selected candidates, 25,874 secured admission through slide-up requests, while 15,569 applicants remained unselected.
Among the selected candidates, the Arts stream recorded the highest number of admissions at 32,782, followed by Science (11,297), Commerce (2,083), Vocational (261) and Sanskrit (147).
The selected applicants included 22,357 males, 24,212 females and one transgender candidate.
A total of 23,231 students secured admission to their first-choice Higher Secondary School, while 20,696 were selected as fresh applicants.
Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School, Cuttack, recorded the highest cut-off marks in the Arts (78%), Commerce (78.20%) and Science (90%) streams.
In the Vocational stream, Government Vocational Higher Secondary School, FM HSS, Balasore, registered the highest cut-off at 67.67%, while Sanskrit Higher Secondary School, Paralakhemundi, topped the Upashastri stream with a cut-off of 76%.
