Village of Twins

Located in Kerala, the village of Kodinhi is famous for a bizarre reason. Its rise to fame lies with the abnormal amount of twins born there. While the national average reads nine twins per 1000 births, Kodinhi boasts an average of 45 per thousand births.

With an estimated demographic of around 2000 families, Kodinhi is said to have over 300 sets of twins. What’s even strange, is the fact that the number of twin births keeps increasing every year and no one knows why.

Immortals of the Himalayas

The Himalayas are more like a spiritual sanctum than a geographical wonder to the people of India. And within its many mountains and crevices, there lies a legend of deep mystery.

It is said that the Himalayas is home to an ancient city-kingdom called ‘Gyanganj’ where the immortals dwell. An abode for the ‘Saadhus’ and hermits, ‘Gyanganj’ is inhabited by sentient immortals who influence the world in their subtle and mysterious ways. As per one legend, the city exists in an alternate plane of reality within the mountains.

Kongka La Pass UFO base

One of the least accessible places in the world, the Kong Ka La Pass in Ladakh lies in a disputed border area between India and China. But it’s infamous for a very different reason.

According to many reports, the area harbours many underground constructions that supposedly serve as the base of operations for extra-terrestrials and their UFOs. Many residents in the nearby areas have alleged that UFOs are a common sight in the area. It is rumoured that both the Indian and Chinese governments are aware of this.

Cursed village of Kuldhara

The village of Kuldhara in Rajasthan was once home to more than 1500 residents. Then one night, they all disappeared. There is no evidence of any killings, abductions or armed struggle. They just vanished from thin air.

And as they went, they cursed the village so that no other soul could ever call it home. Decades have passed since that bizarre episode but Kuldhara lies as a ruin and a supposed ‘ghost town’. Passersby report to have seen ‘spirits’ of the vanished villagers dwelling in its ruins.

The Nine Unknown

The Nine Unknown were an ancient order founded by Emperor Ashoka in 273 BC. These nine were given the responsibility of preserving powerful knowledge that could be dangerous in the hands of the wicked.

Each of the Nine was given a special Book of Knowledge ranging from microbiology to propaganda to cosmogony. It is said that the Nine Unknown are to India what the Illuminati is to the West although it is believed that the Nine were scattered all across the globe and still roam amongst us.
