Jajpur: At least five employees of Maithan Ispat Ltd at Kalinganagar in Jajpur district sustained burn injuries following an explosion at the industry Wednesday.
Two of them who sustained 80 per cent burn injuries are in critical condition.
While all of them were admitted to a nearby hospital, the critically hurt persons have been shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
The injured persons were identified as Umanath Yadav, Manas Mallick, Sunil Majhi and Umesh Ray.
They were working at the industry on a contractual basis. The explosion occurred at the MMS department when they were engaged in some work.
