Jhumpura: Five labourers, including two minors, suffered serious injuries after coming in contact with a live 11 KV electric wire at Tiloupada sahi of Khendera panchayat in Keonjhar district Monday.
The injured persons have been identified as Matkand Singh, Gaur Singh, Rajen Soren, Sambhu Singh and Dhana Murmu of Ududla in Mayurbhanj district.
After receiving primary treatment at Keonjhar district hospital, they have been shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
According to reports, the workers were involved in a project under Saubhagya Yojana at Tiloupada village. While working at the project site, executed by Godrej Company, the labourers accidentally came in contact with live electric wire.
