Balasore: Around 50kg of ganja was seized from Basta railway station and three persons including a woman have been arrested in this connection Friday.
The arrested were Barendra Patra, Dipak Kumar Das and Rasmita Das. They hailed from Basta area in Odisha and were currently staying in West Bengal. The accused were transporting the contraband from Odisha’s Rupsa to West Bengal, on the Puri –Howrah Jagannath Express, an excise official said.
A case has been registered under the NDPS Act and the arrested persons will be produced in court.
