Bhadrak: Setting an example for others, nearly 70 transgenders have vowed to donate their organs after their death here.
The members of the Ardhanariswar Kinnar Mahasangh held their annual function at a hotel here Friday and signed an agreement for donation of their organs.
Those present on the occasion were all praise for the noble cause. They said such noble efforts of the transgenders will make them immortal even after their death.
MP Manjulata Mandal, Bhandaripokhari MLA Prafulla Samal, Bhadrak MLA Sanjib Mallick, president of an outfit promoting organ donation Prabhas Acharya, former MLA Muktikant Mandal, president of Odisha Kinnar Samaj Mira Parida, president of Uttar Odisha Kinnar Sangh Soumashree and president of Ardhanariswar Kinnar Mahasangh Sonali were present on the occasion.
