Bhubaneswar: More than 75,000 people from various walks of life participated in ‘Education for All’ mini marathon organised by KIIT and KISS Sunday.
KIIT and KISS has been organising the mini marathon for the noble cause for the last three years. This time it was organized in 35 cities and towns spread over 30 districts of Orissa, KIIT and KISS claimed.
In all places the mini marathon started at 6:30am simultaneously. In Bhubaneswar the run started from Sandy’s Tower to KIIT stadium.
Lok Sabha M P Prasanna Patasani, Anubhab Mohanty and eminent Odiya cine star; Priyadarshi Mishra, MLA, North Bhubaneswar, cine star Sabyasachi Mishra, sprinter Dutee Chand and Anuradha Biswal, international footballer Shradhanjali Samantray, international kabadi player Rashmita Sahu and, KIIT and KISS founder A Samanta flagged off the run.
More than 10 thousand people including students from various educational institutions of Bhubaneswar, students and staff of KIIT and KISS, students of SAI and state sports hostel and common people participated in the mini marathon here.
Education plays a vital role in inclusive development of a nation, state and in person. Everybody should create awareness for education for all, opined the guests present in the closing ceremony.
