Bhubaneswar: The Hotel & Restaurant Association of Odisha (HRAO) will organise the 7th Odisha Tourism Conclave 2026 at Hotel Swosti Premium in Bhubaneswar October 23.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida will inaugurate the conclave, while Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati will grace the valedictory ceremony. The day-long conclave will bring together policymakers, political leaders, tourism experts, hoteliers, travel trade professionals, investors and other stakeholders from across the tourism and hospitality ecosystem.
The conclave is being organised with the objective of supporting the state government in making tourism a major engine of investment, employment generation and economic growth.
HRAO will deliberate on measures to attract largescale private investment for creating world-class hotels, resorts and tourism infrastructure, increase domestic and international tourist footfalls, strengthen air connectivity, promote Odisha’s rich Buddhist tourism potential, and encourage tourists to spend more time in the state.
The conclave will also focus on positioning Odisha as a competitive destination for international travellers and thereby helping retain within the state and the country a greater share of foreign exchange currently spent by Indians travelling abroad. The conclave will also provide a common platform for the state government and the tourism industry to exchange ideas, identify emerging opportunities and formulate actionable recommendations for accelerating tourism development in Odisha.
A significant step in this direction is the amendment of the Odisha Tourism Policy, 2022, which seeks to create a more investor-friendly environment and encourage greater private-sector participation in tourism and hospitality projects.
