Bhubaneswar, April 10: Most block grant teachers joined Plus II evaluation duty Sunday, prompting the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) to feel optimistic about publishing the results on time.
“According to our information, 82.2 per cent teachers joined evaluation duty in 49 valuation zones across the state. We expect more teachers to join Monday and hope to be able to publish the results on time,” said CHSE chairman Basudev Chhatoi.
The block grant teachers association said more members will join evaluation duty and the camp will not face any problem.
“The majority of our members joined evaluation duty and more people will join Monday. We have kept our word and expect that the government would sort out our issues in the next inter-ministerial committee meeting scheduled for April 24,” said Biranchi Das, organising secretary of 448 Category Aided College Block Grant Lecturers and Employees’ Association and Non-Government Block Grant Teachers’ Association.
“As it is a Sunday, some members were not able to join duty. However, there were no problems in evaluation. All our members will join Monday,” said Golak Nayak, the president of (Plus II and Plus III) Non Government Lectures and Employees Association.
CHSE initially decided to complete the evaluation by April 25. As it has lost some days, CHSE now says it can complete evaluation by April 30. However, the decision of inter-ministerial committee meeting schedule April 24 will be a crucial factor for the timely publication of this years’ Plus II results.
