Kolimati: In a tragic incident, three members of a family were crushed to death under a heavy vehicle at Kolimati Kumuda ghat under Anandapur block in Keonjhar district Sunday.
Dinabandhu Tripathy, a resident of Suanpada under Ramchandrapur police limits, was going with his wife and son on a bike to Ghatagaon Tarini in the morning.
As he was negotiating an uphill road at Kolimati Kumuda ghat, a truck ran over the bike, leaving the three dead on the spot. The vehicle reportedly belongs to Gayatri Construction firm.
The incident triggered tension in the area. Locals demanded immediate completion of the road work and compensation to the bereaved family. PNN
