Khallikote: Scores of people Monday thronged Paladhuapali village under this block in Ganjam district after spotting milky liquid in the trunk of a neem tree.
People soon started worshipping the tree and donated money believing that there was a divine hand in the incident. Even as the exact reason behind the development couldn’t be ascertained, Khallikote forester Ratnakar Behera said a thorough examination of the tree can make things clear. Some were of the opinion that it was a natural process. Such things happen to very old neem trees, they added.
A cow tender broke the news in the village following which the place got crowed by people of nearby localities. PNN
