Mumbai: Kenya started their Hero Intercontinental Cup campaign with a 2-1 victory against New Zealand, Saturday but their head coach Sebastian Migne feels that his side will have a difficult game when they face hosts India Monday.
“We have a difficult game against India. We have only two days to recover but we will try to put up a good attitude. We know it will be difficult, but with a good attitude everything is possible,” the Migne said after the match.
Speaking about the match, Migne added that it was good game to win after been a goal down but were lucky enough to score in the second half. “We’re happy to win. It was a fantastic opportunity for my players to discover a new continent and opposition,” Migne said who landed in the city just a couple days before the game.
India had thrashed Chinese Taipei 5-0 in the opening encounter and their game against Kenya will be skipper Sunil Chhetri’s 100th international game. However, Migne is aware of the quality side India has and also informed that he follows them closely. “I know India have quality and have qualified for Asian Cup. I follow them closely. Sunil Chhetri can be interesting for the future and has good quality. Kenya will try to be a good opponent,” Migne added.
