Cuttack, Feb 9: Rupanagar Mayanagari will confer Big Boss awards on first woman director of Oriya film industry Parvati Ghosh and music director Shantanu Mohapatra at cine-tele-music award ceremony scheduled to be held at Sahid Bhawan February 24.
Stand-up comedian Shyamalendu Bhatacharya will be felicitated with lifetime achievement award on the occasion of eighth annual day celebrations of Rupanagar Mayanagari, the outfit president Surendra Sahu briefed the mediapersons.
Bijay Mohanty will be honoured megastar award while movie ‘Salabudha’ and its director Sabyasachi Mohapatra have been chosen to get best film and best director awards respectively.
The outfit would honour popular cine artiste Mihir Das and ‘Gapa Hele Bi Sata’ actress Banaja Mohanty with ‘Dukhiram Swain’ and ‘Abhula Apsara Nayika’ awards respectively. Similarly, Sabyasachi and Archita will be conferred with best actor and actress award at the programme, Sahu maintained.
Sritam Das will be awarded with best villain while Arindam and Riya Dey will be presented superstar and Dream girl awards respectively.
Bapu Lenka will be felicitated with first scribe of Orissa Electronics Media award while litterateur Mihir Pratap Das will be given Godabarish Mohapatra Samman. Besides, actress Baisali Parija will be honored with popular actress.
Flautist Mohini Mohan Patnaik and tabla player Haramohan Khuntia will also be honoured best instrumentalist awards on the occasion.
Recipients of the awards were chosen through SMSes of audience, added the outfit president.
Apart from the outfit president, general secretary Bikram Keshari Ray, executive president Prafulla Singh and Bhubaneswar Kalinga University vice-chancellor Badrinarayan Patnaik among others were present at the press meet held Sunday.
