Bhubaneswar, Feb 12: The Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) is going to implement the e-evaluation process from the forthcoming academic year, according to a decision taken by at meeting of the board of governors in the city Thursday.
The move aims to ensure a flawless process of examinations and quick publication of results.
The board of governors has also asked the constituent and affiliated colleges of BPUT to publish the results one month after the examinations, according to sources.
“The e-evaluation will bring a lot of change in the examination process. It will ensure smooth valuation along with publication of results. The training of the faculty for the e-evaluation will start soon,” said a senior official here.
The board of governors has also decided to introduce a new school called the School of Planning inside the College of Engineering and Technology. “There is a dearth of town and city planners in our state and thus it has been decided to introduce such a school where students can pursue undergraduate and postgraduate courses in planning. This will be a constituent part of civil engineering,” said the official.
Moreover, Prof Prashant Kumar Patra was Thursday appointed the principal of the College of Engineering and Technology. The board of governors has also appointed Ranjan Kumar Swain as the principal of Parala Maharaja Engineering College in Berhampur.
