Bhubaneswar: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) officialsSaturdayrecovered some looted gold ornaments worth Rs 5 lakh and arrested a person in this connection.
The accused was identified as Rabi Nayak.
“A woman passenger travelling from Visaskhapatnam to Bhubaneswar was standing with her luggage containing ornaments. Rabi had snatched her luggage and decamped after she arrived at Bhubaneswar station, RPF sources said.
Fortunately, the ornaments were recovered and handed over to the woman, a day before her marriage.
Two other associates of Rabi, who were involved in the loot incident, are still on the run, they added.
