Balianta: A over-speeding biker died after his two-wheeler rammed into a Haiwa near a culvert on Cuttack-Bhubaneswar road near Pahala square Monday morning.
The identity of the deceased was yet to be known. According to police, a chips-laden Haiwa was on its way to Cuttack. Meanwhile, the biker rammed into the vehicle after his lost balance on his two-wheeler.
He was thrown onto the highway and died on the spot. The intensity of the collision was so high that the two-wheeler was reduced to ashes along with four back wheels of the Haiwa. A fire tender team was pressed in service to douse the flames.
Pahala police recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem. A case was registered and a probe was on.
