Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) here Monday announced the results of State Open School Certificate Examination-2018(1st) and Madhyama examination.
According to BSE sources, 41.93 per cent students who took up the Open School Certificate Examination came up with flying colours, while the Madhyama examination recorded 92.47 pass percentages.
Of the 13, 387 examinees who took up the open school certificate examinations, 380 were booked for malpractice and results were declared for 13,007 students. Of the 5,454 successful examinees, 97 secured B1 grade, 824 got B2, 2,096 obtained C grade, 2,049 got D and E grade was awarded to 388 students. However, none could secure A1 or A2 grades and 7,418 students took up the examination unsuccessfully, said a senior BSE official.
Likewise, out of the 3,181 successful Madhyama examinees, 175 were compartmental candidates. As many as 24 students secured A2 grade, 493 got B1, B2 grade was awarded to 959 students, 759 students secured C grade, 761 got D grade and 10 bagged E grades. However, no one was awarded A1. Similarly, 259 examinees made an unsuccessful attempt, while 35 were booked for malpractices. While 3,959 students filled forms for Madhyama examination, 3,475 students wrote the examination and 484 were absent, the sources said.
