Bhubaneswar: The body of a youth was found hanging from the ceiling of an Omfed parlour in the early hours of Friday. His death has been shrouded in mystery as he seemed happy till Thursday night.
The deceased has been identified as Prakash Chandra Pradhan (19) of Mardaraj Prasad under the Fategarh police station in Nayagarh district. He was a salesperson in the parlour located near a hotel in Satya Nagar area in Kharavela Nagar police limits.
Sources said around 5am Friday, when the parlour owner came to open the shop, Prakash did not open its small gate. He slept in the shop Thursday night after meeting some of his relatives.
Later, the shop owner found him hanging when he peered through the iron grille on the rear side of the parlour. He informed Kharavela Nagar police who seized the body and sent it to the Capital Hospital for
post-mortem. The investigating officer told Orissa POST that
nothing could be ruled out,
including the possibility of murder, till the investigations ended. The probe will start once the post mortem report is received.
