Kalyansinghpur: A tractor driver had a miraculous escape with no injuries after being trapped inside the vehicle for an hour following an accident late Tuesday night. The incident happened in Kalyansinghpur area in Rayagada district. The man was Nakul, a local.
Nakul was taking the vehicle to Kamatana village under Damunipanga panchayat. A scooty rider from opposite direction headed menacingly towards his vehicle. In a bid to save the rider, Nakul swiftly turned the tractor to a side, and got trapped inside it as it overturned. Locals tried to rescue him, but in vain due to the heavy weight of the vehicle.
A fire tender team reached the spot and rescued Nakul with the help of a JCB machine. He was taken to the local community health centre (CHC) to check if he had any internal injuries. Locals said they were astonished to see how he emerged safely from a major mishap, and thanked the Almighty for this ‘miracle’. The incident has become the talk of the town.
