Bhadrak: In a show of courage, two minor rape victims, who were being blackmailed by the two accused youths with video clips of the incident, filed complaints at Bhadrak police station leading to their arrest.
Two drivers of Kantabania area had lured the two minor girls into their trap and raped them at a guest house near Rajghat. The accused had also video-recorded the incident. The two used to blackmail the victims by threatening to make the video public. The girls kept quiet for some time for fear of public embarrassment.
Finally, they mustered enough courage and informed the matter to Childline June 13. The Childline authorities rescued the girls and lodged them at a short stay home.
With help of the staff of the home, the victims lodged separate complaints against the two drivers at the Town police station Tuesday.
Police investigated the matter and arrested the accused Sheikh Lucky and Sheikh Kalu.
The victims were medically examined while the accused were produced in court.
