Sundargarh: Hundreds of litres of diesel from an oil pipeline of IOCL overflowed onto the farmlands in Ramabahal village near Rajgangpur following cracks in the pipeline connecting Paradip with Ranchi Monday.
Local people rushed to the spot with pitchers and buckets and were seen collecting diesel from the cracks of the pipeline and from the farmland.
On being informed, IOCL senior officials, police and fire personnel rushed to the spot and started repairing the cracks on the pipeline.
IOCL officials collected more than 15,00 litres of diesel from the farmland.
