Malkangiri: A pick-up van carrying about 500 kg of ganja worth Rs 2.5 crore along with ganja packing machine have been seized from Jaduguda forest area under Malkangiri police station Monday.
Sources said, the contraband was smuggled from Malkangiri to Chattisgarh. However, the accused managed to give the police a slip.
While a case has been registered with the local police, manhunt is on to nab the accused. A high alert has been issued throughout the district against ganja smuggling recently after there has been a rise in such cases.
