FBIL sets rupee reference rate at 68.7041 against dollar

Mumbai: The Financial Benchmarks India private limited (FBIL) Friday fixed the reference rate of the rupee at 68.7041 against the US dollar and 79.9821 for the euro.

The corresponding rates were 68.7017 and 80.6045 Thursday.

According to an FBIL statement, the exchange rates for the pound and the yen against the rupee were 89.9891 and 61.84 per 100 yens, respectively, based on reference rates for the dollar and cross-currency quotes at noon.

The SDR-rupee figure will be based on this rate, the statement added.
