Sundargarh: Two women were struck by a bolt of lightning at Karamdihi village near Subdega block in this district Tuesday.
They were identified as Bisakha Bhainsal (40) and Draupadi Rohidas (45) from Katangdihi village. According to reports, the women were working at a farm in a nearby village when heavy rain lashed the locality.
When lightning struck the two women fell unconscious at the farm. They had been rushed to the district hospital where doctors declared them brought dead. The bodies were sent for autopsy. A case of unnatural death has been registered.
