Dhenkanal: A newborn baby girl was rescued in a critical condition from a in Hadagada forest of Kamakhyanagar area in this district Thursday morning.
The baby has been admitted to Anlabereni Community Health Centre.
According to reports, one Siddhant Mallick was passing by the bush when he heard the cry. He stopped to look near the bushes and saw a swarm of ants crawling on her body. He immediately rescued the newborn and rushed the baby, which looked to be 1-2 days old, to the CHC.
The police have started an investigation to find out the baby’s parents.
