Bhanjanagar: A middle-aged woman survived murder attempt by her husband in Patalsingh village under Polasara police limits in Ganjam district Friday night.
The woman has been identified as Minati Sethi.
As per the report, Minati and her husband Laxman Sethi had a heated argument over some issue last night. As the argument escalated further, Laxaman lost cool and tried to strangulate his wife to death due to which she fell unconscious.
The accused escaped from the spot following the attack thinking that his wife had died.
The victim was rushed to Polasara CHC in critical condition by some neighbours later in the night where her condition is stated to be critical.
Police have registered a case in connection and have launched a man hunt to nab her husband.
