Baripada: Three bike-borne miscreants looted Rs 1 lakh from a car parked on the premises of PWD office located on the crowded Katcheri road Saturday.
According to the report, contractor Bibhas Chandra Behera withdrew Rs 1 lakh from a bank on KMBM road and went to the PWD office in his car. He parked the car inside the office premises as he had some work.
Three miscreants came on a black Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle, broke the window pane and fled the spot with the money.
Though the police were immediately informed about the incident, a PCR van reached the spot after half an hour later.
However, later senior officials reached the spot and started investigating into the matter.
