Rayagada, March 1: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team, which is investigating Itishree Pradhan murder case, continued ti collect information on contract killers and criminals active in Tikiri area, sources said.
The CBI team Sunday interrogated a person named Babuni Pujari, whose name and phone number were found in the call log of mobile phone being used by the former headmaster of Tikiri Upper Primary School, Chandra Sekhar Panda.
The officials quizzed Pujari about the contract killers and criminals of Tikiri area, who had good relations with former inspector of schools, Netrananda Dandasena. They also quizzed a trader of Tikiri area Saturday and asked him to give details regarding criminals active in the area.
The CBI sleuths Sunday interrogated son of owner of the house where Itishree was staying on rent and two students of the school. They wanted to know about the persons who had visited the school and her house before her death, sources said.
CBI team has already interrogated 30 persons in last five days. It has also planned to quiz Dandasena in connection with the case after getting permission from the court as he has been lodged in jail.
Meanwhile, a team of CBI officials went to the Kashipur block office and collected information regarding leaves taken by the Tikiri Sikhya Sahayika during her tenure.
The nodal officer of mid-day meal scheme in Kashipur block, Pabitra Nayak, was also interrogated for one hour by the officials. They even quizzed headmaster of Renga School, Khyamakar Raut, in connection with the case.
