Angul: The Excise officials have seized 37 litres of illicit liquor and arrested five persons after conducting simultaneous raids at different places under Athamalik block in Angul district Tuesday.
The arrested persons are Padmalochan Meher, Sanjay Nayak and Kumudini Barik of Pandurikhol village, Buna Pradhan of Badabandha village and Dasarathi Sahu of Hariharpur village in Angul district.
Acting on a tip-off, Athamalik excise officials raided several places in the block.
